Acemhöyük, located in the town of Yeşilova of Aksaray, manifests itself with a hill image. This is estimated to be an area of 800 x 700 meters according to the cases found. It is said that the past of this ancient settlement dates back to 3000 BC. However, the most brilliant period is estimated to be between 1950 and 1750 BC, the age of Assyrian trade colonies. After this period, the settlement of the city was moved to the lower points. Afterwards, it became a settlement area of people in the Hellenistic and Roman periods. It is also known that this point is expressed as Burushattum in Assyrian sources. However, in the excavations in this region, no findings that prove this issue were found. Dr. It started by Nimet Özgüç. This work, which lasted until 1988, started again and continued until today. Ankara University's contribution is great in the excavations carried out in this period. 129-1. His name was named after this last settlement. During the excavations, important structures about Assyrian trade colonies were found. In Acemhöyük, one of the largest mounds of Anatolia, Sarıkaya Palace, Hatipler Palace, Houses, Stamps and Cylinder Seals, Dish Pottery, Fabric Traces and Beads in Various Decorations and Forms, Golden Ornamental Works, Ivory Works and Game Board were discovered. On the Age of Assyrian Trade Colonies, only three of the many cities mentioned in the nail written in Kanis-Neša, the capital of trade and the capital of trade, are ruled by the '' Great King '. There is no doubt that Acemhöyük is one of them. The Great King was sitting at the Sarıkaya Palace in the southern part of the mound. This palace, sitting on an area of 3 thousand 600 square meters, two -storey, with 50 rooms on the lower floor to the present day; The second monumental structure, which is very similar to the Sarıkaya Palace, is the Sarıkaya Palace. The relations and wealth of Acemhöyük in the Age of Assyrian Trade Colonies are undoubtedly understood by the finds in their palaces. Bullas stored in three rooms of Sarıkaya Palace (sealed clay lumps) introduce the region and people of Acemhöyük with political and commercial relations. Most of the prints belong to the stamp seals of Anatolian/domestic style, and others belong to the old Assyrian, old Babylonian and old Syrian styles. There is a link between the Akkad State, the first central state established in Mesopotamia and Acemhöyük. In a written document of the Akkadian time, it is written that the King of Akkada was a campaign to this city when some traders mentioned the city of Puruşhattum. Philologists agree that this city is Acemhöyük. Since Acemhöyük is located on important mineral deposits and trade routes, it has become an important mining production center in Anatolia. The city is the most popular mining production center in Anatolia 4 thousand years ago. Sarıkaya Palace and the silver and copper ingots that were found in contemporary houses were stored to be used instead of money and to produce metal works with some alloys. Gold, silver, bronze, copper, bullet ornaments made of various metals, weapons, gods/goddess figurines show the diversity of the mineral works in the city. Apart from these excavation areas, there are many mounds and settlements in Aksaray. In the Acemhöyük studies, the area here dates from the Early Bronze Age to the Roman period. However, in the Age of Assyrian Trade Colonies, palaces and different finds were coincided with this region. In the excavations, no activity was carried out for the layers below. However, at the end of the studies on the east side of Acemhöyük, traces of the Early Bronze Age were also found. At the same time, cube burials have been found for this period. It is stated that two cubes of burials are the graves and at the same time the pottery from Mesopotamia and Northern Syria, which is not unique to Anatolia. . 76 in Hatipler Palace and Sarıkaya Palace was found with 50 rooms. At the same time, these palaces are surrounded by marble walls is also expressed as a subject.

Aksaray'a 15 kilometre uzaklıkta bulunan Acemhuyuk önemli bir eski yerleşke. Elli yıldan buyana devam eden kazılardan elde edilen eserler Aksaray müzesinde sergilenmektedir. Giriş ücreti alınmayan Acemhüyük oldukça geniş alana yayılmış.
