Muğla Bodrum Ottoman Shipyard Art Gallery is a place that has a historical environment and brings together a modern art environment. This venue, which deals with Turkey as a cultural, touristic and historical whole, is the ideal place to find the traces of Ottoman art. This area, which also hosts Turkey's artists, is a place to visit. The gallery is an old shipyard region built in the middle of the 16th century and protected. In this area, where a powerful historical atmosphere, which is noticable in the whole city, is dominant, there are also architectural works that attract attention. However, it can be said that the most important parts are stone and woodworking based on Ottoman traditions. In this gallery, where wood and ceramic craftsmanship can be exhibited inspired by traditional designs, you can witness the riches of art and culture. In this place, where you can feel as if you haven't broken your ties with the past, special works examined by art historians also draw attention. The gallery covers all of the 16th century archaeological excavation areas. The areas that have been used in these times, which have contributed not only to archaeological studies but for thousands of years of contribution to our daily lives and are designed in accordance with holy traditions, continue to be used today. It is important to add that this shipyard, which is the only place to explore the stories of today and the history of today's and past, can be exhibited there. And it continues to be a cultural, touristic and historical place that brings together the fine line between the modern. It is possible to make a trip that will leave permanent marks in your mind.
